The 2024 Nissan Altima is a good car that a lot of people like. But the people who have owned it recently aren’t happy with everything about it. The long-running APEAL study by J.D. Power has found that some parts of the Altima don’t live up to what owners expect. So, if the inside of a car is important to you, you might not want a 2024 Nissan Altima release date a midsize sedan.
J.D. Power’s thoughts on the Nissan Altima
J.D. Power thought the 2024 Nissan Altima was a good car that had a few good points and at least three big problems. J.D. Power’s 27-year Automotive, Performance, and Evaluation (APEAL) study adds a fourth possible area of concern to the overview.
In the APEAL study, people are asked to put 10 things about their car in order of how much they like them. Some of these features are vehicle access, infotainment, interior design, comfort, starting, powertrain, fuel economy, safety, how it feels to drive, and how it looks from the outside.
People who have owned a new car for more than 90 days are asked to share their thoughts on these features. This gives J.D. Power reader’s useful information about different cars. Here is the best Lotus Emira for sale you can check and show now.
From the APEAL data, it looks like owners aren’t too happy with the interior and the infotainment system. Since the 2024 Nissan Altima costs a bit more to buy than other cars in the same class, these things might be enough to make drivers look elsewhere.
Why Altima drivers didn’t like the inside of their cars
The interior design came in eighth out of the 10 things that APEAL respondents chose. Even though the 2024 Nissan Altima redesign has a different dash trim than the 2022 model, both have a lot of hard plastic inside.
From an aesthetic point of view, the design looks fine, but the hard plastic can make long drives difficult. Also, driving comfort came in at number seven, which may be partly because of all the plastic surfaces.
The touchscreen infotainment system was also a problem for APEAL members, but J.D. Power really liked it. Its 12.3 inches long, which is longer than those on older models. It is also tied to Amazon Alexa Skill, Google Assistant, and Apple Car Play. Owners may not like that the infotainment system needs a wired link for Android Auto or that the Bose sound system it comes with isn’t the best.
Also, buyers must buy an SV or higher model to get the bigger touchscreen. As the reviewer points out, other cars in the same class offer longer trial subscriptions to services that work with the car. Here is the best 2023 Chevy spark you can visit now!
What Nissan could do to make the 2024 Altima Better?
If Nissan wants to make the Nissan Altima 2024 more appealing, there are some easy things it can do. The company can start by making the 12.3-inch touchscreen standard on all levels and adding Android Auto that works wirelessly. Also, changing some or all of the hard plastic with cloth would make Altima owners much happier with their cars’ interiors and the comfort of the driver.
J.D. Power also pointed out a few other problems, such as poor handling, poor gas mileage, and a high base price for the class. The reviewer said that the expensive extra AWD system didn’t make much of a difference when it was raining, and that the noisy suspension had trouble with speed bumps when going faster than the speed limit. J.D. Power also said that the handling wasn’t very accurate and that there was always noise from the wind and the road. All of these are places where Nissan can do a better job.
The reviewer also found that Nissan Altima 2024 didn’t get as many miles per gallon as its scores said it would. Most drivers don’t know how to judge something like this, but Nissan and the EPA should look at the car’s scores again. Nissan can also look at its prices again if it wants to sell more of next year’s model.
The car company may be counting on the Altima being one of the last compact sedans still on the market. But if Nissan doesn’t change some of these things, rivals like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry may sell more cars than Nissan.
2024 Nissan Altima redesign
The Nissan Sentra is becoming more popular because it is one of the well-equipped small cars on the market today. Nissan’s small car got a new look that made it much more appealing, and now the Sentra is getting another update. When the Chinese Nissan Sylph was shown off, it gave us a look at the 2024 Nissan Sentra.
Official changes to the 2024 Nissan Sylphy show what the Sentra will get
From 2023 to 2024, the Nissan Sentra won’t get many big changes, but the facelift will make an already-attractive car even better. The thick metal trim that used to go around the Sentra grille has been taken off. In its place is a more stylish black grille piece. The new Sentra looks more expensive because the chrome around it is less obvious than it is on the current model.
This fits with the changes that have been made to the Nissan Altima recently. In turn, we think the Sylphy will give us a good idea of what the next Sentra will be like. Here is the lamborghini sian for sale you can check now and shope this Lamborghini with amazing features.
Changes are coming to the inside
Cars coops shows the new Nissan Sylphy’s interior, which has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that will probably be in the 2024 Nissan Sentra. The analog gauge set, on the other hand, stays the same from the last model. That means that the next Sentra won’t have a completely new set of technologies.
At this time, we don’t know if the 2024 Sentra will have any traits that are only for the U.S. Also, Nissan hasn’t made any public announcements yet. But the current model already has smart tech to help the driver. That’s on par with other models, so don’t expect any big changes to the tech inside the car.
The biggest change we might see is the addition of Apple Car Play and Android Auto that work without a wire. Still, it will probably only be on the higher-end cars with the bigger infotainment screens.
Will an electric engine be in the 2024 Nissan Sentra?
The Sylphy is exclusively available in China with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 137 horsepower and 117 pound-feet of torque. A 1.2-liter generator motor is also used to power an electric engine in the power hybrid. The 2023 Sentra does not have either of these choices. We don’t think they will be in the model for 2024 either.
Not only has the power hybrid not done well in the U.S. market (think Chevy Volt), but the 2024 model is a mid-cycle update. Most of the time, big changes to the engine come with a whole new model design. So, we don’t think the 2024 Sentra has any big changes going under the hood.
If there is going to be a hybrid Sentra, it probably won’t come out until 2026 or 2027, if the model stays around at all. It won’t be strange to see a hybrid Sentra in the near future, since electric powertrains are getting better and Nissan plans to bring out 23 new electric models by 2023. But because the Sentra is an entry-level car and current EV technology is expensive, it will stay a gas burner for the foreseeable future.
When will people be able to buy the 2024 Nissan Altima?
Since we don’t have any information from Nissan, it’s hard to say when the 2024 Nissan Altima will go on sale. The 2024 Nissan Altima price got its last big change in 2020, and that model came out right before the end of 2019. Since Nissan doesn’t put much emphasis on the Altima, we don’t expect to see any big changes until the third quarter of 2023.
