In 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD appears to have caught up to the technology of other midsize pickups, such as the Ford Ranger and the Chevrolet Colorado. The new 2024 Toyota Tacoma trd pro interior is just as up-to-date as its rugged exterior, thanks to an attractive design and high-quality digital displays.
The Tacoma lineup is more varied than its competitors since it offers both cab and bed variations. All of the models are powered by new turbocharged four-cylinder engines, with the most powerful being the hybrid force Max, which generates 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque.
New overland-focused Trail hunter models, as well as the flagship off-roader, the wider 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, come standard with such configuration. Another change that has made the Tacoma more competitive is the replacement of the old leaf springs with coil springs in the rear suspension. Here is the best 2023 Toyota RAV4 Prime you can check it!
In 2024, what’s new?
The new Tacoma uses a version of the body-on-frame TNGA-F platform introduced with the redesigned 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD. Mechanical Components and Overall Efficiency
Every 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD is driven by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine. The engine, however, is available in a wide variety of configurations . Drivetrain options include both rear- and all-wheel-drive. In contrast to the base SR, which features a 228-hp turbo four, the remainder of the series is powered by more potent iForce variants producing as much as 278 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque.
With 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, the iForce Max (only available in automatic) is king of the hill. The electric motor and a compact nickel-metal hydride battery make up the hybrid system located between the engine and transmission.
There are two alternative rear suspensions available for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD, despite the fact that they all use a body-on-frame design. Only the SR, SR5 extended cab, and TRD Pruner have traditional leaf springs, while the rest of the lineup uses coil springs, which are more comfortable.
Off-road 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD are equipped to handle any terrain, as that is how the brand makes its living. The Trail hunter and TRD Pro have unique underbody armor, specific suspension parts, and 33-inch Goodyear Territory R/T tires. The latter feature a conventional front anti-roll bar that can be detached and disconnected as needed, as well as unique 2.5-inch dampers with separate reservoirs.

2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Interior, Leisure, and Stowage
The interior of the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD is a major improvement both in terms of design and packaging. The dashboard is constructed from higher quality components and features both modern displays and conventional controls. All-digital instrument clusters measure 7.0 inches on standard Tacoma and 12.3 inches on TRD Off-Road trim and higher.
When it comes to seating, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Specs provides an isodynamic seat with an air-over-oil system that helps to dampen the effects of driving on rough terrain. The driver of any model may forget the days of sitting on the floor thanks to the higher seating position and increased headroom.
The vehicle should be more accommodating to a wider range of drivers thanks to its flexible steering column. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD, like its predecessor, is available in both an extended cab (named Trace) and a crew cab (called Double Cab).
The Trace can only be ordered with a six-foot cargo bed, but the Double Cab can be outfitted with either a six-foot or five-foot box. Here is the best 2022 Toyota Corolla you can check it now!
Connectivity and Entertainment
The infotainment system in most Tacoma’s includes a touchscreen measuring eight inches. The Trail hunter and 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro models’ and the Limited’s primary display is a larger 14.0-inch touchscreen.
The JBL sound system and the wireless charging pad are both extras. The latter has a detachable Bluetooth speaker mounted on the top of the dashboard.
The Tacoma is currently built on the TNGA-F Architecture
2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD and SUVs will soon be built on the TNGA-F platform, the truck variant of the Toyota New Global Architecture. Similar to the Tundra and Sequoia, the Tacoma rides on a boxed steel ladder frame.
The new 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD has not been tested driven by us. However, if the Tundra is any indication, the Tacoma’s new platform will make both the vehicle and its ride better.
The Tacoma no longer offers a V6 option. The 2.4-liter inline-four turbocharged engine powers every fourth-generation 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission (with a 6-speed manual available on some grades).
The base model has 228 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque. The standard I-Force engine produces 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, and an automatic version produces 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet.
The I-Force Max is the top of the line motor. It’s not 2024 Toyota Tacoma trd pro price I-Force Max V6 but rather a smaller, inline-four displacing 2.4 liters. However, it has an impressive 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. All engine calibrations provide significantly more torque than their predecessors, which should translate to better fuel economy.
